Greg McCann
Executive Chairman

Greg is Executive Chairman of the Excentor Group. He is a Chartered Accountant and was a partner at Deloitte & Touche for 24 years. He held a number of senior leadership roles including Managing Partner Papua New Guinea, Managing Partner Queensland, Managing Partner NSW and Managing Director for the large systems integrator, Deloitte Consulting/ICS in Australia. Greg also held several international roles for Deloitte.

In 2004 Greg founded the Excentor Group of Companies, an independent software and professional services provider. Greg has extensive corporate and financial experience, including Chairman of ASX and NASDAQ listed companies. He also sits on the board of a large eastern seaboard law firm, is a director of the Tasmanian Development Authority and is the former chairman of NBN Tasmania Limited.

Greg is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Andrea Fontana 

Chief Operating Officer, Excentor Group

Andrea has a background in Management Consulting and Information Technology sales and services. He grew up and was educated in Switzerland and has Master Degrees in both Business Administration and Operations Research from the University of St. Gallen, Lic.Oec.HSG (MBA). His experience in the Professional Services and Information Technology industry spans back to 1988 and includes senior appointments in global firms such as Accenture and SAP AG.

In 1999 he became a founding shareholder and senior executive of a B2C e-commerce venture and was instrumental in taking the business from its inception through to a successful IPO.

In 2005 Andrea joined the Excentor Group of Companies, where he is responsible for overall business strategy and business development for the Group Companies. He also has ultimate responsibility for Systems and Processes, Compliance, Management Reporting, Quality Assurance Policy and Risk Management across the businesses.

Deidre Potter 

Chief Financial Officer, Excentor Group

Deidre is a Chartered Accountant and has a Degree in Economics from the Australian National University. Before joining the Excentor Group of Companies in 2009 she worked in public practice as a taxation accountant for almost 20 years.

Deidre is responsible for financial and risk management operations of the group companies, including financial reporting, cash flow management and statutory reporting. She has been instrumental in setting up appropriate accounting and risk management systems to ensure the accuracy of the group companies’ reported financial results and compliance with their regulatory and taxation obligation.

Deidre is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand.

Khairu Merchant 

Head of IT, Excentor Group

Khairu is an Electronics Engineer and joined the Excentor Group of Companies in 2004, initially as a technical consultant and pre-sales engineer.

Khairu is responsible for supporting the technical infrastructure of the group companies, including establishing appropriate IT services frameworks and IT security policies.

Khairu holds a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering from the University of North Maharashtra.

Paul Ansell 

Co-Managing Director, TRS

Paul Ansell graduated in Mechanical Engineering and was indoctrinated into a highly-technical recruitment methodology from UK’s leading IT & Telecoms recruitment organisations.

He moved to Australia over ten years ago and was a founder of TSR.  He has been instrumental in cementing TRS’ reputation for delivering candidates when other recruitment companies struggle.   His technical understanding and acute business acumen have led to TRS being one of the most successful recruitment companies in Australia.

Graeme Gates 

Co-Managing Director, TRS

Graeme Gates has been in IT recruitment in both UK & Australia since 2000.  His educational background includes both qualifications in Computer Science and Psychology; this combination gives him unique insight into the recruitment process.  The ability to balance the correct technical skills and the right cultural fit has enabled Graeme to build a reputation as one of the industry’s most consistent and effective recruiters.  For the past 11 years Graeme has worked predominantly in the BI/DW and Big Data space, providing both contract and permanent placement solutions.

Michael Paine 

CEO Consortio

Michael holds Advanced Diplomas in Business and Management from Sydney Institute of Technology and has experience working with organisations such as News Corporation and IBM. He has been with Consortio since 2012 and has over 7 years’ experience in the Contingent Workforce Management industry, covering most facets of the industry including client relationships, contractor management and strategic partner alliances.

Michael leads a team of experienced professionals that serve some of Australia’s leading organisations as key clients. Since joining Consortio Michael has also formed close working relationships within the employment law sector, resulting in strategic partnerships for the business that ensure best-practice compliance procedures.

A key focus for Mike is to work closely with Consortio’s clients in ensuring alignment of their contingent workforce strategy with the client’s overall business strategy and objectives.

John Speed 

CEO Lánluas Consulting

John is a senior IT business professional, with extensive enterprise software, middleware, messaging and business to business experience. A career spanning almost 30 years in Australia and New Zealand, he has developed proven expertise in new business development, partner management, solution sales, brand representation, team development, territory and sales pipeline management, business development and execution.

In previous roles John was State Manager, New South Wales for Technology One, Northern Region Manager for Supply Chain Consulting, Northern Region Director, Sales for Cognos,

Sales Director, Australia and New Zealand for Mincom and Sales Director/General Manager, JD Edwards and PeopleSoft. In these roles, John developed his skills, experience and expertise in successfully building profitable businesses and client acquisition strategies across multiple market segments.

John holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Information Systems) from the University of Otago.

Ian Hodge 

CEO Xen Consulting

With 35 years’ experience in the Australian IT industry, Ian Hodge has spent the last twenty years in various leadership roles in the enterprise software and consulting sectors.  He has held senior management and ANZ country management positions for several prominent global companies (SAP, JD Edwards, Fujitsu, Dell). Ian has also led local private companies in the SAP consulting sector.

In these roles Ian has been responsible for leading sales growth and sales turnarounds, consulting business P&L performance improvement, acquisitions and integrations, business sales, restructures and other performance-based outcomes. He has well-developed strengths in strategy development and execution, exposure to Asia/Pac business culture, communications skills, executive and business coaching.

Ian holds a BA, Dip Ed from Macquarie University, an Executive MBA from AGSM, is a Member of the Greater Sydney chapter of YPO Gold and is a Graduate of AICD.
